Today started just like yesterday, breakfast, worship, quiet time and then it was our group's turn to clean the bathrooms and mop our eating area. Let me just say that we are the cleaning masters!!
Then one of the Crossroads interns took us to our worksite located right next to St. Roch Community Church. Our worksite today was a big house project. Some of us broke up concrete, some got to be on scaffolding, (ask Derek how many times he hit his head) chipping away old paint, some put plastic on windows and taped to prepare for the paint, and then some of us started painting the exterior of the house. We are here with other church groups from Kentucky, Indiana and Wisconsin and so far the Lord has really blessed us by putting us together. We are really bonding and getting along great.
We will return to the St. Roch area in the morning to hopefully finish up the painting. Tommorow afternoon we get to spend in downtown New Orleans. Thank you all for your prayers!! Continue to pray for safety, and more importantly lives changed in Jesus name.
