We had 127 guests including 9 new families come to the pantry last Thursday. They were assisted by 22 volunteers on Tuesday stocking and 49 volunteers on Thursday. Bridgeway Church youth group has been a part of our volunteer team once a month for a while now. We appreciate all that they do.We only have 1 more week of the Feinstein challenge so please bring in as many donations as you can so that we can get a good match from them. If you are not a shopper, please see Deb Diaz, Fred Knoll or myself and we would be happy to do the shopping for you. We send close to 200 bags of groceries out the door every week so every donation is vital. Another way that you can help is to buy a "simply give" gift card from Meijer. All of that donation and a partial donation from Meijer will come to our pantry.
This week our needs include healthy cereal, oatmeal, peanut butter, jelly, soups, toilet paper, diapers size 6, dish soap and any cleaning product as well as kleenex.

It was Spring Break in Hamilton County last week but that didn't stop 118 families including 8 new ones from needing to visit our pantry. When school is out the need for food is even greater as many families get free breakfast and lunch at school. We were assisted by 21 volunteers that stocked on Tuesday and another 49 that helped on Thursday.
Our needs this week include healthy cereals (CVS has some for $2 a box), oatmeal, pancake mix and syrup, boxed dinners, beans, peanut butter and jelly, juices, toilet paper, dish soap and cleaning products. The last 3 things cannot be bought with food stamps.
Please remember we have less that 3 weeks to weigh all of our donations for the Feinstein Challenge. Keep those donations coming! As you spring clean, clean out your pantry and donate an item or two to help another family eat this week.

We had 127 families last Thursday including 16 new families. They were assisted by 18 volunteers on Tuesday and another 41 on Thursday afternoon. Each family received a bag of groceries, bread and sweet items, strawberries and yogurt and a choice of a meat item, lettuce, and a couple of fresh produce items that were donated by Hamilton Southeastern Schools before their Spring Break.
We are continuing to weigh our donations for the Feinstein challenge which goes through the end of April. Thank you for having neighborhood drives, Scouting for food, and Heritage girls for everything you have brought in. If you would still like to do a neighborhood food drive please stop by and pick up some bags. Our needs for the pantry grow weekly.
Currently we are in need of peanut butter, jelly, cereal, pop-tarts, oatmeal, canned pineapple, pasta and canned meat. We also need toilet paper and size 6 diapers.
Feel free to come help this Thursday with your kids from 3-6 while they are on Spring Break. It will be an experience they will not forget.
