Another busy Thursday with 162 families including 21 new families. Yes! That is correct, 21 new families. ,we continue to see new families that have never been to our pantry before that are up against a difficult time and must reach out to ask for help. We had 20 volunteers on Tuesday and 45 volunteers helping on Thursday.
Our needs this week include healthy cereals (which happen to be on sale at Marsh this week), oatmeal, cream of wheat, cake and brownie mixes (everyone needs a birthday cake) sugar, oil, canned meats and boxed dinners. We have a new request this week. We need empty egg cartons. We have 2 people willing to donate eggs from their farm but need cartons to put them in. Please bring these in as well as paper sacks and plastic bags and put them in the collection box outside the sanctuary.
We also have another exciting opportunity for you. For 2 weeks, all 3 services, you can bring your food donations and leave them outside your car and we will have a team of volunteers come by and pick them up for you. Shoot, after you finish reading this, put some things in a bag and put them in your car now so you are ready. We will be picking up October 11, 14, 18 and 21. Flyers will be out soon.
