Our Kenya Team has done a great job of being the hands and feet of Jesus. More than a hundred people received medical treatment at the clinic our team held. Two of our team members gave training to local social workers who minister to the children of the school and their families. A highlight of that training was washing the feet of the African Social Workers - like Jesus washed the feet of His disciples. Hundreds of tooth brushes and tubes of tooth paste were distributed. Light was brought to the dark shanties of 9 families. Assistance with the computers was given in the offices of the mission. Hygiene lessons were taught in the school. The team gave the children a chance to practice the English they are learning and lots more.
All of that is very exciting and rewarding but even more was the opportunity that our team had to be the voice of Jesus sharing the good news with the people in their homes. There were opportunities to do that with Muslim families and others who had never given their lives to Jesus. One of our team members had the privilege of bringing a person to know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
Our team begins their long journey home on Saturday and will arrive on Sunday afternoon. Pray for their safety and sweet reunion with their families.
