I would have never guessed 7 1/2 years ago that we would be seeing the numbers that we are seeing. We had 173 families this past Thursday including 12 new families. They were assisted by 23 volunteers that sorted and stocked on Tuesday and 59 on Thursday.
We will be handing out flyers this Thursday after service and Sunday after both services reminding you that we are having and all church food drive on 10-11, 14, 18 and 21. We have never needed your help so much as we do right now. It will be fun to see how much food we can collect to feed brothers and sisters of the Lord.
We especially need cereal, oatmeal, cream of wheat, pancake mix and syrup, cake and brownie mix, canned foods, (including canned meat) boxed dinners, noodles, spaghetti and sauce, snacks and toilet paper. Anything perishable would be great.
Don't forget to bring in your empty egg cartons as we have 2 folks that are bringing in fresh eggs. We always appreciate paper bags and plastic sacks as well.
As you have been reading we have several awesome and faithful volunteers. I would like to introduce you to another one, Frank Smith. Frank is very faithful in his service. He is a behind the scenes kind of guy. He likes to stock and help give out things in the produce area. He may not talk much but he is taking it all in. He has had some great suggestions that have helped improve things. We are so blessed to have Frank as part of our team.
